Terms of Service
Effective: 4 June 2026
These terms govern your use of SCORM Lab, the free in-browser SCORM debugger available at scorm-lab.com (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Lost End Found Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 15713779), with its registered office at 86–90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can reach us at privacy@scorm-lab.com.
2. The Service
SCORM Lab lets you import a SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 package (a .zip) and
inspect how it behaves — the API call transcript, the CMI data model, sequencing
decisions, and authoring lint — entirely inside your web browser.
The Service is provided for legitimate debugging, authoring, and learning purposes. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any package you import.
3. Accounts and access
To begin a debugging session, you verify an email address: we send a one-time 6-digit code to that address, and entering it creates a lightweight account. You agree to provide an email address you are entitled to use, and to keep access to your inbox secure. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached or if the Service is misused.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to import or process content you have no right to use;
- attempt to probe, scan, overload, or circumvent the security, rate limits, or anti-abuse measures of the Service;
- use automated means to create accounts, request verification codes, or otherwise abuse the email flow;
- upload malware, or use the Service to distribute unlawful or harmful content;
- reverse engineer, resell, or misrepresent the Service.
5. Intellectual property
We (and our licensors) own the Service, its branding, and its interface. These terms grant you no rights in them beyond using the Service as intended. You retain all rights in the SCORM packages and content you import — we claim no ownership of them.
The Service runs SCORM content using scorm-again, an open-source SCORM runtime made available under the MIT licence by its authors.
6. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: your packages never leave your browser; we store the email address you verify (and, only if you opt in, a record that you consented to marketing) to run the Service and, where you have agreed, to contact you.
7. Availability and changes
The Service is provided free of charge and on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service, and may update these terms, at any time. Where changes are material we will update the effective date above; your continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
8. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its debugging output is accurate or complete for any given package or LMS. You remain responsible for validating any package against your target learning management system.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Because the Service is free, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to GBP 100.
10. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
